Ps4 stuck at preparing to download 10%

If you first turn on your PS4 and it downloads the update extremely quickly and sits at "Preparing to Install " then I think something is wrong. Like other posters said, back out of that (Hit Options and the Delete to delete whatever you downloaded) and then go into Settings and System Update. It'll take a couple of minutes to d/l the real. It's been stuck on "Preparing to Download (10%)" for about 4 hours Preparing to download, and now one update will take 14 hours for GB. Seriously, Sony needs to fix their download servers. Check to see how much free space your PS4 has left (Settings - System Storage Management). I would aim to have more than 10gb free. How long have you let it sit at the preparing to download: 50% state? Mine sat there for a long time, but eventually moved on. But there is a problem, you find the Windows 10 update downloading process stuck and it stuck at 0%, sometimes it is maybe other numbers such as 34%, 83%, 99%, %, etc. If you close this process and restart to download the updates, it stops downloading again, and if you leave for one or two hours, it also keeps this figure.

level 2. Johnuts. · 5y. Restarted my PS4. It's saying (preparing to download (0%)). After waiting a minute or two it started resuming. I think I'll just keep it as it is this time. Bungie should fix their patch-fixes. I mean, it's clearly their fault since other games' updates get downloaded without issues so far. It'll get stuck on "preparing to download", but when the download actually starts it'll start from something like 34% progress, instead of 0%. So I'm guessing the download actually started long before the "preparing to download" part went away. The other thing that annoys me is that when a game is % download and/or "installed", there's still. Once the PS4 adds the " update file " to your download list, stop the download by deleting the update file. Let the other file download and install. Start the game, and play through the tutorial and then quit the game and THEN download and install the update file. This way the update downloads and installs OUTSIDE of the game instead of causing.
